FINT owns the universal account primitive, the real-time transaction history engine, and the internal developer experience platform for FinHub. You'll guide your team through a critical inflection point: re-architecting these foundational systems for the next decade of scale while enabling new financial products like sub-accounts, retirement accounts, and agentic trading experiences. /p

li Lead and grow a team of 6 engineers across multiple levels, coaching on technical excellence, career development, and organizational impact /li

li Drive the re-architecture of core account and history systems to support new product primitives and higher throughput demands at Coinbase's next stage of growth /li

li Own the Finhub Tools roadmap, building internal UIs, dashboards, and agentic workflows that accelerate engineering and operations teams across the company /li

li Shape architectural decisions across distributed systems, streaming pipelines, and full-stack tooling, fostering a culture of high-quality code and thorough design reviews /li

li Collaborate with product, finance, and engineering leadership to define and execute a quarterly roadmap, breaking complex infrastructure projects into iterative, shippable milestones /li

li Partner with the talent organization to recruit exceptional engineers and own engineering quality processes including SLA accountability, incident response, and on-call practices /li

p strong Required skills and experience: /strong /p

ul

li 7+ years in software engineering with at least 2 years of engineering management experience, including hiring, coaching, and developing engineers /li

li Proven track record delivering and operating distributed systems at scale in production, with hands-on ability to review code, lead incidents, and triage issues when needed /li

li Demonstrated success translating ambiguous, long-horizon technical problems into concrete execution plans with measurable milestones /li

li Experience with financial systems, event-driven architectures, or high-precision transaction processing where correctness and reliability are critical /li

li Comfort leading teams with diverse scope (backend services, streaming pipelines, and full-stack tooling) with an appreciation for developer and operator UX /li

li Utilizes generative AI responsibly, maintaining human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs and drive measurable improvements in workflow efficiency, cost, and quality. /li
